I thought I would share a bit about myself and why I decided to start writing a blog.
My childhood was tough and at 11 I was placed in foster care. I was lucky enough to have an amazing foster mother and family.
I became a mom for the first time at the age of 16 and now have 4 children. Trae-Marie is 29, Avory is 24, Devon is 20 and Kase is 9. I also have a three grandchildren. I lost my husband of 18 years in January of 2016 and in that moment I became a widow and a single mother. Two things I never thought I would be. The journey I have been on has not been easy but I do feel stronger and healthier now then ever before. As you will read in my very first blog post it was a conversation with my daughter that prompted the starting of this journey. I have always felt like I had something to share but I never really thought I would be doing this. I have always imagined myself writing a book and I have started two different ones but have not completed either. In the end I decided that this would become the catalyst to my writing career and in the meantime maybe something I share can help someone else. So thank you for coming on this journey with me and listening to what I have to say.
